I wasn’t much active on Medium for the last two days as I wasn’t well. As I was frequently had viral infections two times a week. Yesterday, I had to get myself checked and had to do an RT-PCR test. Fortunately, My report was negative. Your blessings helped me to recover fast and I am feeling good now.

I apologize to all the participants of the Lifeline poetry challenge, for being late with the prompts. I hope you all will understand my situation.

As this is the month of love, I am going to share a prompt related to emotions. This is the month to celebrate emotions. I always say and mention in my poems that emotions are always hard to handle. No matter, how strong you are when it comes to emotions and feelings you find yourself lost and confused.

“Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you’re doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.”

-Joel Osteen

We all feel thousands of emotions every day. Sometimes, it’s hard to keep control of negative emotions. No matter, how we try to avoid them or distract ourselves we can not escape from them. We have to face them and feel them.

Today’s prompt is,

Which emotions do you find hardest to accept (guilt, anger, regret disappointment, etc.)? How do you handle these emotions?

Sometimes, it’s really hard to accept some of the emotions. For me, guilt and regret both are emotions that I can’t accept easily. They broke my soul especially regrets. It’s always hard to feel those feelings of not being able to do those things that I always wanted to do.

“You see, you are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. You have emotions, you have thoughts, you have a will, and you have a conscience. You are a complex being! And Jesus came to heal every single part of you. There’s not one part that He doesn’t want to make completely whole.”

-Joyce Meyer

We all are in the same boat. We all have emotions that are hard to accept. However, I handle all of those emotions by writing about them. Writing is my therapy. I never thought of writing poetry. I started doing it because I wanted to handle all of those emotions and feelings that are hidden inside my heart and mind. My poetry reflects my soul and emotions.
