Summary

The website content discusses the esoteric meanings of the musical notes DO-RE-MI-FA-SOL-LA-SI, linking them to cosmological and spiritual concepts, and suggesting that this knowledge was encoded by monks during the Dark Ages.

Abstract

The article "Secrets of Do, Re, Mi… (part 1)" delves into the hidden symbolism behind the Western musical scale, proposing that each note corresponds to specific celestial bodies and spiritual principles. It posits that the scale, as ordered by Guido d'Arezzo around 1000 AD, encodes an ancient consciousness-rising code. The notes are associated with elements such as the Sun, the Moon, the Milky Way, and the Earth, aligning with chakras and reflecting a macrocosmic-microcosmic relationship. The text suggests that this knowledge was preserved and transmitted through music during a time when overt expression of such ideas was dangerous. The article hints at a continuation of the discussion in a second part, promising further revelations about the evolution of consciousness.

Opinions

  • The musical scale is seen as a repository of sacred knowledge from the Dark Ages, cleverly disguised to avoid persecution.
  • Each note in the octave is believed to represent cosmological entities and spiritual concepts, such as DO for Dominus (Lord) and the crown chakra, and SI for Sider (Stars) and the third eye chakra.
  • The article implies a connection between the musical scale and the evolution of human consciousness, with the notes corresponding to stages in this evolution.
  • The text suggests that the musical scale is a key to understanding the universe, with its structure reflecting both the macrocosm (the universe) and the microcosm (the individual).
  • There is an opinion that the traditional meanings of the notes, such as MI for Microcosmos (Small Universe), may need to be expanded to reflect the broadening of human consciousness.
  • The author appears to advocate for a re-examination of historical and spiritual symbols in light of contemporary understanding, as seen in the discussion of the note FA and its association with the fates and the planets.
  • The article posits that the musical scale is not merely a tool for music but a profound metaphor for the structure of reality, with each note acting as a symbol for greater cosmic truths.

The Secret Meaning of the Notes in The Octave in Western Music

7 Notes Repeating

DO-RE-MI-FA-SOL-LA-SI-DO in ascending order

And Again in descending order: DO for Dominus | Lord, from a House (of God) | Absolute | Crown∞ SI for Sider | Stars | All Galaxies | 3rd Eye∞ LA for Lactea | Milky Liquid | the Milky Way Galaxy | Throat∞ SOL for Solaris | Sun | Sun personified | Heart∞ FA for Fata | Fates | Planets | Solar Plexus∞ MI for Microcosmos | Small Universe | Earth | Chi∞ RE for Regina Coeli | Queen of the Womb of Heaven | Moon | Root∞ DO for Dominus |House| Absolute | Earth’s Soul/Core∞ from the book — follow link ∞ denoting one of the seven/eight chakras

During the Dark Ages, Monks were said to have hidden the sacred knowledge (of the evolution of consciousness — see part 2) in the musical scale. In 1000 AD, Guido d’ Arezzo inventor of the musical staff and who ordered the scale in a descending fashion: DO, SI, LA, SOL, FA, MI, RE, DO; (see Wikipedia for more).

The numbers on the diatonic musical scale associated with sight learning of music called Solfège is correlated with an ancient consciousness/vibrational rising code.

The map of this code will be explained through channeled information in part two. In the meantime:

The First Meaning of DO — DOminus

DO (pronounced dough) whose first meaning is one root of DOminus.

A root of Dominus from the Greek domicile or house, house of the father; a house in Grecian times was often dome shaped. The implication that the domicile of house of the father could look to the dome above him as a metaphor for the stars in the heavens — a domain of God.

DO is the first note on the musical scale that repeats in an octave implying a passage of consciousness along many levels to DO at the beginning of the next octave.

RE or REgina Coeli

Regina is Latin for “queen”, literally translated.

Coeli, or coelo, in searching for the root of these words, indicate a body cavity, hole or vault that “swells”.

Coeli or coeli, when linked with Regina, points to a “womb” that gives birth from or to the moon.

Since there is a black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy in the nebulae constellation of Sagittarius — a nursery for the birth of stars. It follows that Regina Coeli may also relate to the birth of the Milky Way Galaxy on a macro scale. On a micro-scale in the as above so below mirroring effect, Earth’s Moon, viewed as a receptive archetype, may symbolize that which the Queen of Heaven gives birth.

MI for MIcrocosmos

The traditional meaning (perhaps prescribed by the monks of a Dark Age) is Small Universe — Earth. However, there are local stars near to our Sun. Alpha Centauri is closest at 4.25 light-years from Earth (see map of stars within 12 Light Years of Sol — our Sun). Our solar system is within what is called the Local Bubble and within the LB is the Local Interstellar Cloud or LIC to which our solar system entered 10,000 years ago.

Microcosmos is a familiar word. Its origins as the Greek word: mycrocossmos, “human nature, man viewed as the epitome of creation,” literally “miniature world”. Most humans can barely see beyond the ego-eccentricities of Earth and humankind as the center and all-encompassing regions of the microcosmos. I thought about expanding the concept as human consciousness is also expanding.

FA for FAta

Fata of fate as associated with the planets (of the Solar System?) or the Local Interstellar Cloud (see above) indicates humans as a multi-planet species at the very least from a consciousness perspective. The fates as indicated in Schneider’s book: “A Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe”.

Fata or fate from it’s origin in Greek is “to receive one’s share.”

SOL for SOLaris

Sol as a Sun God or a focus of worship. Or Sol- also solə-, Proto-Indo-European root meaning “whole, well-kept.”

Sol as Solaris — Latin for the Sun or Solar System. That which is in the center of the Solar Plexus, a chakra in the center of the human body.

In Heliocentric Astrology, we humans measure ourselves from a central archetype of balance with all planets as equal within the solar system.

The “fanfare” from Richard Strauss’s “Thus Spake Zarathustra” — tone poem gained fame from Kubrick’s classic film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. Strauss’ tone poem was inspired by Nietzsche’s piece of the same name.

The beginning of the film begins with the notes at the beginning of the octave:

DO followed by the middle note of: SOL and ending with the higher octave: DO.

DO-SOL-DO repeats three times visuals from Earth as DO (domicile), Sun as SOL, and Moon as DO (dominus)*with music as source during the opening sequence of 2001: A Space Odyssey (YouTube video).

  • With Moon — a yin/feminine archetype as Dominus — a God the Father, archetype blending with the yin — is this not a leap of consciousness?

LA for Lactea

Also known as lacteal. The root is milk, from the Latin lacteus. Milky liquid is often associated with lactea. The scale was very male oriented and is plainly obvious. The matriarchy’s references of mother and mother’s milk are notably absent. In breast feeding, mothers’ lactate for feeding the child.

One of the gathering places of indigenous peoples in North American during the waning years of the matriarchy was in the birthplace of the Bear Flag Republic — 60 miles northeast of San Francisco. Ten thousand natives would gather every few years, do a ritual with a bear, drink a medicine brew (hallucinogenic) and be at one with the Milky Way Galaxy.

SI for Sider

Also known as sidus or sidereal from the Latin sidereus and an unknown earlier root word, translated from the Latin as “starry, astral, of the constellations.”

Also stars and all galaxies, the universe, the multiverse.

The Second Meaning of Do — Dominus in the next Octave

DO or DOminus is Lord, of God the Father, Absolute Ruler of all creation.
