I was reading an article by Ann Skip 🎀 and she pointed to three cool people. It was early Sunday morning and that’s my reading day, so I clicked through to check out their words.

When I got over to Nathalie mark’s profile, I clicked on one of her articles to see how things looked. Here’s what I liked right from the start:

  • The article was a short read, two minutes. I love pieces that are between 2–4 minutes in length.
  • Each paragraph was manageable, about three lines. Did you know that five lines on your computer translate to about eight or nine lines on a phone?
  • Sheronda Lofton highlighted Nathalie’s article several times. I have high respect and adoration for Sheronda and her practices. So, I’m definitely reading this piece.
  • Also, if Sheronda is following Nathalie, I should too. It’s almost automatic in my mind.

This is how I get influenced by the people I love and respect on Medium.

I recognize a name, so I lean in to learn more. From someone I trust, I slow down my click and my scroll. I believe them.

Thank you, Ann. Thank you, Sheronda. Welcome, Nathalie.
