Savoring Sushi
From first bites to anniversary delights

Sangam and I really, really love sushi. It’s our absolute favorite food. Whenever we have something to celebrate, we always choose sushi.
I tried sushi for the first time when I moved from India to Denmark. Our friends got it for me, but Sangam wasn’t sure if I’d like it because it’s made with raw fish, which not everyone enjoys. I decided to give it a try anyway, and oh boy, I loved it! It was so delicious that I immediately became a sushi fan. Since then, whenever we feel like celebrating — whether it’s Friday or something else — we order sushi. We’ve ordered it so many times, I’ve lost count!

For our first anniversary, we wanted to do something really special. So instead of having sushi at home like usual, we decided to go to a fancy restaurant. We thought it would be fun to have sushi in a nice place. We went to Sota Sushi restaurant in Aarhus, Denmark.

We got a bunch of different kinds of sushi like ebi maki, ebi fry, ura maki, sashimi, and more. We also got some fancy Japanese drinks called sake. We ate until we were really full and felt super happy. It was the perfect way to celebrate our first anniversary.

Then we celebrated my birthday with sushi again. We ordered the same menu from Sota Sushi, just like last time. We ate a lot until we were really full. In the picture below, you can see how much I ate! It shows me before and after eating sushi.

After that, for our third anniversary, we chose a different restaurant in Utrecht, Netherlands. It was awesome! We tasted various types of sushi and even had some wine with our meal.

It was a fantastic experience. We were beaming with happiness after eating all that sushi.

You might be curious how we can eat a lot of sushi without getting bored of it. Well, it’s because we really, really love sushi! We never get tired of it; in fact, we always want more. Talking about sushi makes me realize it’s been a while since we last had it, and now I’m craving it again. As the saying goes:
You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy sushi, which is kind of the same thing.
So perhaps it’s time for another sushi celebration soon!
