Saving Yourself From Blogging Burnout

Ever felt tempted to click “publish” even when you know you shouldn’t?

In my writing, I am often sitting on a backlog. I could publish work that I have ready to go, but I know that I shouldn’t.

You see, I know I’d burn out if I didn’t do two key things:

  • Build a backlog
  • Release at a sustainable pace

Maybe one week I write ten stories… well, just because I’ve written that much, it doesn’t mean I should release that many!

Readers want regularity. And in the long run, you can only publish at your own average pace.

So — take a breath.

The ‘publish’ button can wait.
