Sarah: An Example of the Fight of Faith for Fruitfulness

Sarah denied her doubts. Opened her heart to Faith… ‘And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.’ ‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭21:1 KJV‬‬)

1. Sarah’s Journey to Faith. Sarah was a certified barren woman! It was a condition with her from the very start! (Genesis‬ ‭11:30)

Sarah had no faith in her ability to give birth. Age, many failed attempts, family history, Doctors’ reports, her husband’s ability to father a child through her maid. All of these confirming her misery!

When her scheme was hatched, she was disgruntled and insisted the bondwoman and her son be cast away from her. Sarah was unstable emotionally.

2. Sarah’s Faith for the Miraculous: Strength to Conceive. Sarah had been around her husband; a prophet, for some time now. Yet the Lord visited and insisted Sarah will have a child. This boosts Sarah’s Belief and Faith!

Though physically unbelievable, she denied her doubts; when the Lord accused her of laughing at the prophecy; hence opening up herself for an opportunity to BELIEVE.

By Faith, against all odds, Sarah chose to believe in God for a child, and she received divine strength to make another attempt for childbearing.

Being at your wits end on your journey of faith; a simple willingness to make another attempt, at the instance of God’s Word on an issue may be the only faith needed for strength and vigor to conceive and executive the impossible!

By Faith, Sarah received strength to conceive, and she gave birth to a male child called Isaac… Laughter! at age ninety!

Sarah denied her doubts!!! and faith stepped in, and she conceived!!! (Genesis 18:9–15)

3. Sarah Judged God Faithful, as Lord; Yahweh! Sarah judged God faithful. Sarah believed God, and strength came! Her mortal body though stricken in age was quickened by the Holy Spirit.

Brother Kenneth E. Hagin said… ‘If you choose to stand on the Word of God forever, (as your final authority), then the Word will manifest even soonest’… paraphrasing his quote.

What has God told you? Does it look so impossible you can’t seem to keep your mind around it? Even in the presence of doubts in your head based on physical evidence; Choose to believe God.

Make that last attempt, at the instance of the Word of God. Stick on the Word! Insist on the Word.

And the Word of God will show up for you again and again!

And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken!

“By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11:11 NKJV‬‬)
