Sand and Crumbs

A Simple Commentary on Life.

The earth will give you gifts of sand from the oceans deep dark floor,

relationships may give you crumbs as you walk outside the door.

The waves run deep on every single continent on earth,

be wary of love and lust they may crush your spirit’s worth.

Surf on high and set the sail, find sandcastles up ahead,

guard your heart and keep the crumbs clear from your bed.

Sand and crumbs are similar, yet odd to be compared,

please realize that earth and love do need to be quite shared.

You can ride the wave and not crash even close to the shore

and love unabashedly and then strive for even more.

The grit for both is in your soul, sand and crumbs collide,

the good and bad with the sun each day- we all must survive.

Play in the sandbox, cook in the kitchen, place the crumbs together,

build a world of love in life and fly with one more feather.
