Another month another achievement.

I experimented with the quality I can offer to You this month.

So I wrote from the heart, with my only goal to make you learn. If you take a look at My Second Month On Medium Made Me Go Full-Time, I have the exact amount of views. Actually, I had more reads last month too! But later on, in the Stats section, you’ll see that my earnings were X2.5 times better!

How?

It has to do about the quality I’m offering. Stick to this story and you’ll find out. From now on, I’ll offer a Table of Contents to make you roam to the sections you want to know more about, easily.

Stats for My Third MonthGoals Met Strategy for JanuaryFinal Thoughts

Stats for My Third Month

Earnings

Medium Earnings

As you can see, I made a number that got me really excited this month.

The reason that this number got me excited is because of the numbers behind it.

Views, Claps, and Reads

  • 1025 views, 170 less than November.
  • 198 fans, 1 less than November.
  • 563 reads, 209 less than November.

Let’s stick to the last stat a little bit. Reads are responsible for earnings, but while I have 209 less, I earned 2.5x more?

How is this possible? It’s all about the quality I offer.

When we were in mid-December, I noticed my earnings are about to be 3x better, so I wrote about it. Make sure that you give it a read.

Followers

I managed to earn a little less than 10 followers per day, a huge number for me. Now I’m sitting at 630 followers.

The strategy I used to get followers apart from writing great content was:

  • Following around 50 people per day
  • Writing comments on Trending stories
  • Clapping stories that offered value to me.

Number of Stories

I aimed for 15 stories for December, and I wrote 17.

I experimented with Poems, Movie Critics, Writing tips, and Personal-Growth stories, drained from real-life experiences.

Top Stories

Published in The Ascent it earned $4 and has almost 300 views as of now. Give it a read, as it’s my best work so far.

Let’s hope that this earnings story will make it to my top list next month too. My second month’s case study takes the second spot, as it provides great value to all Medium writers. With $3.18 and 150 reads is one of my most successful stories so far.

Goals Met

Newsletter

Finally! I created my own newsletter(still in an Alpha kind of state), and I am aiming to write at least once a week in it. I don’t want to spam your email with my stories, so I will have one fairly big story at the end of the week for you.

If you want to be a part of my FREE newsletter as well, I’ll drop a link below.

Accepted in a big publication

If you saw my biggest earnings last month, the first spot belongs to the story I published in the Ascent.

It was a goal for me to prove to myself that my stories provide the quality I wanted, indeed.

I managed to write and pitch one story for a big publication this month and I succeeded.

How do you do that too?

  • Personal story
  • Providing value to the reader backed up with research
  • Write your story with more words like YOU than I
  • Follow the publication’s guidelines, and try to imitate an already successful Medium story on that Publication.

It’s easier said than done you might wonder. But it’s not

Why? Because I did it too. And frankly, I’m still a beginner.

This story got curated in 3 tags! Technology, Productivity, and Self.

If you want to learn more about how to achieve Curation as a beginner, you can read the story I wrote about it below.

Strategy for January

  • I will continue the same strategy for followers, but I’ll aim for my stories to earn me a little more to hit 1000 followers by the end of the month. It won’t be an easy feat, but I like challenges!
  • I will aim for more than 15 quality stories again this month
  • I will have a poem Friday because writing poems was enjoyable to me and I want to improve my skill.
  • I’ll aim for at least 3 stories to make it to bigger publications. I already have some ideas to write about, so expect great stories soon!
  • Creating my own publication seems like an idea I want to further explore, but I’m not sure about it yet.
  • I’m taking a course to become a Copywriter, and it seems that copywriting and writing on Medium has a great connection, so I will embed my copywriting skills into my stories from now on.
  • At least one personal story
  • Double my views. It’s about time to go big!

Final Thoughts

Thank you for being a part of my journey so far! It’s been a blast, and you are all a part of the reason I went full time with writing.

In return, I’m making a commitment to offering the best value I can for your reading time.

Many of you already witnessed it, and you showed your appreciation with your comments in my stories.

It all comes down to the tremendous quality you and I can offer on Medium. I’m about to offer the best of me.

Are you about to succeed as I did?
