Russian Student In Jail For Pro-Ukrainian WiFi Name.

Yes, You Have Heard This Correctly. Even WIFI Is At Risk.

Russian officials are working extremely hard, without stopping, to make sure Russian people don’t use pro-Ukrainian words, such as “Slava Ukraini”. Today, Russia is fighting two wars, one outside in Ukraine, which by they way they are losing hard, and another within their own country. This situation of fighting a war within reminds me of the things that I have heard of what Soviet Union was like.

Divided nations against its own people never actually last long. What is happening in United States, is not pleasant. Where several political parties disagree on critical ideas, leaving the nation almost divided. Some individuals hate each side, for promoting ideas contrary to their own opinion.

The situation was bad enough in the States, as some of its citizens begun stealing flags from different lawns of certain individuals. Merely, because they supported different presidential candidates. And there is some controversy with the State of Texas, as it is fighting against the pressure certain parties are trying force it to keep. That’s how the whole idea and slogan of “civil war” in America began to rise, and spread.

The way people described the States 10,20,50 years back, looked and sounded as a whole different nation. The problems that it today has, did not exist back then. Speaking of current elections, there is a lot of “hate” involved, among the people.

The same issue applies to Russia. While they have power and legal means to silence such individuals who rise against their decisions, they nonetheless exist, and are in sorrow, with the way their nation is headed. Sanctions have already made life for Russian people worse than it was before.

And the sad reality is that the government under Putin, has been controlling what Russian people needed or didn’t need to hear either about war in Ukraine, or the situation within their own nation.

I have never imagined that Russian authorities would begin arresting people for just disagreeing with their decisions. Unfortunately, these days are here. As a Russian student, while being just a teenager, was arrested all because of his views, and support for Ukraine.

It is clearly visible that traits of hate exist within Russian government. The situation is bad enough that they begun arresting people for speaking against the cruelty and evil that Russia has brought upon Ukrainian lands. Yet, Russian TV hosts are seen talking about how to successfully destroy Europe and United States? You can clearly see the hatefulness involved in their talks. And Russia is doing absolutely nothing to stop such TV shows.

The reason as to why Russian government is not stopping such ideas from spreading, is simply because it upholds the same values and ideas. Russian citizens who are part of the Russian army have been seen on these TV shows.

Russian citizens would be dreadful about their lives if they would criticize Russia on TV, or publicly. The Russian student, who changed the name of WiFi, to “Slava Ukraini” slogan, was arrested and has been put in jail for 10 days.

The truth of the matter is, there are a lot of people in Russia who oppose this war, and who love Ukrainian people. They do not support wars that Russia under Putin’s rule launch. In fact, no person that was raised right, supports launching wars, in which war crimes are committed and rights were abused, as well as lives being destroyed.

Further. Many Russian people are not in favor of the war, not because they necessarily support Ukraine, but because they see Russia losing this war, and bringing their country to the dark ages. Russian citizen who was part of Russian military, who reported big Russian losses(which were accurate and confirmed) on telegram. Was later found threatened by Russian authorities. Moments later, he was found dead.

Speaking of the student. It was a Russian police officer who actually reported the name of his WiFi(it actually makes me laugh) to the Russian authorities.

President Putin, himself made publicly that Ukraine is not an independent country, and that it is originally part of Russia. The sad reality is that Russian people are buying into this, and are trusting what he has to say. When, in fact, authorities under his power are silencing opinions who disagree with him.

It sort of reminds me of Kim Jong Un. Where people in North Korea are forced to keep his picture in their main room of their home. There are frequent inspections. If its citizens chose not to do so, they risk being put in jail and basically persecuted.

And it just so happens to be that Russia is a deep ally with North Korea. Russia gives North Korea food and suggests upgrading its air force, and North Korea gives Russia artillery shells, in exchange. Their relations go back many years in the past.

Further, Russian people are told what to think and say. As they can’t even begin to refer to this conflict with Ukraine as a “war”, but instead a “special military operation”. Further, president Putin sees Ukraine as being filled with Nazi regime traits. He is saying all of this, even though it is not true, just to justify this “war” to its people.

An individual who is not allowed to visit Russia anymore, a human right activist, Aleksandr Cherkasov, had to say this concerning the sad state of Russia:

It is a return to the repressive system of the post-Stalin period

The fact that the very own Russian people are saying such things, clearly shows that Russian people are suffering as a direct result from this current government. Besides, the past presidents of Russia were never great. Just a strange coincidence?

Some Russian reporters and journalists who spoke against Russian started war, were already arrested. I believe what happened to the student is tragic. Students should be regarded as the future of a nation, and are the main thing that makes any nation functional.

The fact that he did not do anything illegal, such as stealing, physically assaulting someone, as was still arrested, quite shows its nation’s governmental proprieties.

As suppression, oppression, and taking away of rights from Russian people existed back in Soviet Union, it so happens to exist to day. Could it be a coincidence? I don’t think so. As this is not the only three traits Russian government is keeping. Constant wars being launched by Russia also bears a lot of weight on their ideologies.
