Royals, Racism and The Cost of Freedom
As black people, are we really free?
Listening to a discussion between two people and one of them said, “Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill played a vital role in the death of millions of males, because of World War II. And they aren’t the only ones. Some wars are the results of ego, greed, and man’s quest for power. And it got me thinking, from the dawn of time, humans have created causes, reasons, and why men must die. Some of them created and contributed to their own deaths, thanks to ego and their levels of testosterone. Many of those ways and reasons are preventable.
One of the biggest reasons that one race of men is dying, is because of Racism.

Racism flies higher than humanity is aware of. Many of us knew, but to have it confirmed by a royal, hurts more.
Listening to Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview, and fear made a giant step into my heart when Meghan said that an un-named royal/person was worried about how dark her child's skin would be. I am a Jamaican, and everyone I know is poor. I grew up in poverty. I have lived, feel, seen, tasted, breathe, and eat poverty. Heck, I sleep and dream it too. My country bought their independence from England for 4.10 million pounds in 1961. Today it’s 3Billion pounds.

My country’s people are still poor. The blood, sweat, pain, and tears of my ancestor’s tax dollars are contributing to their life of affluence, and they are worried about skin color. Thousands of children are missing out on their education because of poverty and COVID 19, which has ravaged our world, and they are worried about skin color.
Haiti is the first country in the Caribbean to gain independence on January 1, 1804. They have paid $21 B to France for their independence so far, and are still paying, more than two hundred years later. They are the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. And I am sure if we ask history, she will show us other royals in other countries in our world, who are living off the blood, sweat, and tears of millions of poor people in our world.
