Rough Waters — Deep Thoughts At Night

Inspirational poem for those who are going through challenging times in life

Inspired by your beautiful shares on Medium, I decided to share something dear to my heart.

I’m new to writing poems, but somehow I feel a huge pull towards it since I began meditating at the beginning of this year. I hope you enjoy.

Sitting in silence In the midst of the night My mind wonders Where is all the light

Darkness within Shedding the pain Not knowing If I ever rise again

Soaking the pillow With salty drops Feeling the waves That seems to hunt

Attempting to fall into the deepest of dreams Only to find, there is no peace

Hunted by murders Ghosts and aches My heart pounds louder Like a drum of quakes

Dear Soul “Don’t worry” A soft voice whispers in my ear “Your time has yet to come Be patient my dear.”

“Because all these trials Challenging tests Will become your strength And you’ll become blessed”

I hope you enjoyed this short poem and found some motivation, hope and inspiration in the words.
