Roe Vs Wade

Why all the fuss?

I can’t even believe we waste our time debating this nonsense. I can’t even believe I’m writing an article on it. It’s embarrassing.

Here we are, in 2022, and this is still an issue. Why? It was settled long ago.

I can’t help but wonder if there is a conspiracy of some sort here in the U.S., to keep us trapped on the hamster wheel, endlessly debating the obvious in order to keep our attention away from what’s really going on behind the scenes. Magicians call this “misdirection”. Oldest trick in the book, and we fall for it every time. I’ve heard conspiracy theorists call our politicians and deep state operators “black magicians”, and in some ways the label applies.

I’m not really a political animal. But, if pressed, I would have called myself a liberal for most of my adult life. And I still consider myself liberal in many ways. But as the world has gotten progressively more insane I’ve been forced to approach it more conservatively. Does that make me a conservative? I really don’t know anymore; the goal posts are always moving. I’ve watched the left move so far left that they consider anyone in the middle “far right”. So whatever I am — politically or otherwise — all depends on the relative position of the one making the judgements, I s’pose. Regardless, I don’t think my political leanings leave me biased in the slightest when it comes to this topic. This one’s a no-brainer.

Roe vs Wade: The Tale of the Tape

Now, are we living in the fucking Twilight Zone or something? Because this one seems so obvious to me that any discussion surrounding it feels almost comical.

First of all, Wade is a man. He has a drastic height and weight advantage, for starters. He’s clocking in at 6'1", 190lbs. Not to mention all the other physical advantages that go along with being a man, like:

  • Larger and denser muscle mass
  • stiffer connective tissue
  • higher VO2 max
  • larger and denser bones
  • reduced fat mass
  • different distribution of fat and lean muscle mass which increases power to weight ratio

…and so on and so forth. I could go on and on and you guys know it, even the staunchest supporters of Roe.

Norma McCorvey, aka “Roe”, comes into this one at 5'4", 130lbs. Now, she’s a sweetheart and I love her to pieces, but she doesn’t have a chance in this one. Wade is gonna beat the shit out of her. Vegas has him at -5000, if you need any more of an indication of how lopsided this one is gonna be.

With all of this silly debate over who will win the fight, we’re missing all the truly relevant questions, like:

  • Who the hell is sanctioning this event?
  • Why are they only using 10oz gloves?
  • Why is Roe’s family allowing her to participate in this blood bath?
  • How much will it cost to get the fight?
  • Wait, can we get the fight illegally and stream it?

(If anyone can answer those last 2 questions please email me at [email protected])

With all of the tragedy going on in the world right now — the wars, the starving and the destitute, disease, terrorism, animal abuse, and so forth — I implore you all to look deep within yourselves and begin asking the difficult questions…

… Questions like, who are we as a people, when senseless, barbaric events like this have been prioritized in our collective psyche over the truly important things? Questions like, just how far have we fallen when we can heartlessly ignore all the human suffering on this planet in favor of a soulless spectacle like this? And other questions, like why hasn’t Kristen Stark invited me to her pre-fight party? And can we really rely on Frank T Bird to bring the beer? Will Smillew Rahcuef bring the snacks? (because he’s been a flaky motherfucker in the past, let’s face it)

…and is that rob yates refereeing this thing?

Well, I maintain that my moral integrity is still very much intact. I’m only tuning in to watch Darius, who will be fighting on the undercard. I’ve never really liked Ellen, and I suspect this will be a one-sided affair.
