Summarize

Fiction. Storytelling. Short Stories. Design. Travel. Science. Astronomy. Space.

Rings of Satellites in Earthlike Orbit.

Can the Characters in the novel be located in orbital satellites.

The story in space is more exciting than the Metaverse and Crypto today.

Setting for the next story. As the various Characters fly around in orbit. What Adventures and Journeys will they undertake as the Plot unfolds amid the underlying Theme.

Rather than: Summer Camp. Semester Abroad. Short term internship. Think of it more as: AirBnB apt or Hostel or Co-working in space!

Living in Space.

Rings of Satellites around the Sun, just like the Earth orbits the Sun. Some are positioned at Lagrange points in orbit.

No tides or gravity or seasons or weather or sunsets or sunrises. But the sun looks the same. Same light and air. Water. Heat. Plants. Grass.

Life Living and Livelihood.

How will people adapt and live and grow and enjoy. NYC style apartments. Would there be long distance space dating.

What about personal activities. Social interaction. Learning studies. Work. How will people play sports, cook BBQ, swim, hike, sing songs and dance.

Will people visit for vacation, study, research. Or semiconductor and bio manufacturing and materials engineering.

Why not a regular everyday life similar to coworking in outer space.

Criteria.

The space ship would need to be simple to use. And easy to maintain. Able to satisfy all basic needs. And having variety, complexity, adaptability.

Design.

Would the satellites be ring shaped or disk shaped with edge living spaces. What about artificial gravity, growing trees, water ponds and wildlife.

What kinds of self sustaining designs for food, water, air, materials. What about living spaces, furniture, appliances, instruments and gadgets.

Paradigms.

Could have a large generalized space station with full featured facilities. Rather a series of specialized satellites could work like a supply chain. Or, distribute work in parallel to use the power of the swarm at the edge.

Sustainable housing philosophy moved to the edge of space travel.

Innovation.

Variety of Satellite designs and functions. Separation of tasks and duties. New means of propulsion and energy. Easy means of travel and supplies.

What Science, Technology and Research benefits possible. Innovative Communication and Navigation. Tools and Supplies systems.

Networks for Work.

Connections and interfaces for linking various satellites so that a few satellites could work together. Strong networks.

Low Tech.

How would the satellites collaborate together for research, design, production and services using innovative methodologies.

Obviating the need for extreme energy, complexity in design, strict controls, cutting edge manufacturing skills and techniques.

Safety.

Every satellite within a million miles of another. Better for communication. Less worry about safety. Shuttle Pods for escape. Other satellites nearby. How would emergency services be provided, or crisis handled.

Similar to how low tech computers will still work with right OS.

Society.

What kind of Crypto and Metaverse technology will be useful. What kinds of news media, products, services. What personal, social, cultural benefits.

Governance.

What kind of economy will emerge. Finance and trade networks. What about law and order, healthcare, taxes and insurance. Would there be other administrations, militaries, religious denominations.

Reflections.

How will it change the current culture of more wealth power prejudice. How would the current politics, trade networks, military alliances change. What about abortion, gun rights, LGBTQ issues and affirmative action.

Remember these are just a few satellites using contemporary technology.

Rings of Satellites.

One Ring of Satellites orbiting around the sun in the same orbit as the Earth.

Another Inner Ring of Satellites in faster solar orbit in opposite direction.

Another Outer Ring of Satellites in the same solar plane for safety.

Unusual Orbits.

A Ring of Satellites in elliptical Solar Orbits. Same planar orbit. Touching the orbits of Mars and Venus and crossing Earth orbit. This way, any satellites orbiting Mars or Venus are always supplied.

Another ring of Satellites in perpendicular solar orbits as compared to Earth. Same length as Earth orbit. Will cross the Earth’s path twice a year.

Comet Satellites.

Ring of Comet Satellites that fly close to the sun and all the way to the asteroid belts. Use the sun for energy. Asteroids for materials.

Ring of Comet Satellites in perpendicular orbit above and below the sun. Will be above the Sun and outside the Solar System in deep space. Get views of the Galaxy and Intergalactic Void.

All satellites are not in the same earth similar orbit around the sun !

Writing the novel.

Activity. What designs and facilities to incorporate. What technologies and system platforms. What kind of plot will unfold whether it is adventure, discovery or quest for treasure. How will you write your novel.

Journeys. How will the characters interact across various groups and relationships. Will you narrate in the first person or third person. Hope it will not be a disaster and rescue story.

Enterprise. What kinds of businesses will emerge. What kinds of new universities and colleges. Health resorts, playgrounds and wellness programs. Maybe new sports leagues, concert halls and fine dining places!

Will life still be exciting without Star Wars styles wars and fancy tech.
