Revisiting Past Words
Like discovering an old garment in the closet that is now stylish, past writing can be refurbished.
My Discovery Is My Introduction
The more time that I spend sharing my uninhibited perspectives about family engagement in education, parenting, family life, schools, and community engagement, the more I realize how powerful literary connections are.
As a writer, thoughts that I have shared in past stories are uniquely relevant to current ideas that fill my mind. These same familiar perspectives will shape my thinking for future articles as well.
Here is an example of this.
I Once Had A Powerful Story To Tell and Nothing Has Changed Today
One of the most powerful stories that I have ever written was published nearly 15 months ago. I wrote it at a time when I felt that spiritual leaders were brainwashing the masses to advance their political agenda. Sadly, these leaders failed to remain committed to the faith that they represented. The link to this article follows.
Back then, this form of spiritual mind control was pervasive due to the divisive political climate that existed in the United States.
My premature assumption was that this dreadful season that existed in our national and faith-based communities would subside. But, several months later, I have still found myself troubled, angered, and tired of the same type of spiritual manipulation trying to overtake the hearts and minds of Christians and those from other religions.
The release that I personally needed through self-expression was captured in the recent article that I published called “The Biggest Mistake In Christianity Today.” My premise behind writing this story was to describe why I believe that religious and political lifestyles do not mix. This story follows.
While time and change separated both of these writings, time has proven that nothing has changed.
The Conclusion Is That My Story Will Be Continued
As I writer, I have embraced the reality that many issues from the past that remain today will still be issues tomorrow.
As a cycle continues on, my story will continue on.
Thank you for being a part of this reading sequel as my writing series evolves.
Here is my golden ticket that helps me accomplish my mission.
