Retirement, Really, For How Long
When people say they’re retired, I no longer fully believe them.

Here, I thought I was retired. After thinking that through, I realized I’m NOT.
Here’s my daily retirement regime:
Wake up (when I wake up, usually between 4:30 a.m. and 7:00 or so a.m.)
I spend time in my reclining red chair in the master bedroom, usually until 10 a.m. or so.
There you have it. That’s my retirement time. During that time, I read and write in more than five novels and several stories I’m working on. I also field a few calls locally, nationally, and internationally. People I’ve known for years.
Then, I leave retirement to resume working around the house, paying a few bills, and counseling family (I’m still a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, friend, a Mason, veteran), a seventy-seven-year-old man with health issues that need attending, doctor visits, etc. I point this out so that you understand.
I’m only retired a few hours a day. I enjoy every minute of it. The time with my wife is the most precious of all.
Okay, you got me. On Wednesdays, I’m also an editor for Dancing Elephant Press, and every day, I try to keep up with all the great stories that you and other writers have posted and published. Here are just a few examples:
One of our newer writers — Enes Cevik
And here’s one from the young lady who accompanied Gabriella on her fabulous trip. Meet Debbee Aquila Maraglio-Lynn (PhD)
