What would you do if somebody commented that you looked tired? What if it was a good friend you had not seen in a while? What made me say this is that one of the headlines on the news site I go to had that as a featured story of interest. I wasn’t interested enough to read it. Instead, it set my mind wandering, and I decided to write about off-hand cutting comments as delivered by vitamin-deprived, raised-in-a-barn individuals.

So, you could say, “Oh, Jesus. Do you think I have cancer? I’m going to make an appointment with my doctor right away. Thanks for saving my life.”

Or what about this one? “I think I am late for my nap. Goodbye.”

Or “I only got two hours of sleep last night because I just finished writing the 21st book in my detective series.”
