Resolve

Never give up, no matter how uncertain the road is.

He has long since become deaf to the words of others

Like a rock withstanding the waves in the ocean.

Doubts, threats, persuasion, and promises,

No longer affected him.

He had gone through ups and down

Too many instances where he felt like just giving up.

Feeling as if life was mocking and laughing at him,

With the world around him, ridiculing and telling him to just stop.

Yet he continued moving forward

Even when he was filled with anger and rage from the lack of progress

Or when he was filled with determination from the signs of hope,

Persisting through it all.

As if nobody could stop him,

One step at a time, through the trials and tribulation.

His eyes never waving, and his heart never breaking,

Even against all odds.

He had screamed before but slowly lost his voice,

He had cried before but slowly no longer shed any.

He had been broken before but gradually became able to withstand the world,

He had given up before but gradually became unwavering.

And yet, in his life now

He was focused, his eyes steadfast

As he continues walking down this road clouded in uncertainty,

With only resolved in his heart.
