Republicans unite on almost every issue and behind every candidate

Let’s be just like them in the next presidential election.

As of today, there are something like 387 Democratic presidential candidates — so many, I can’t even name them all. As usual, liberals are seeing who can shout the name of their candidate the loudest — civil conversation and actual listening be damned.

For example, any time I say I’m not a Bernie fan, people come at me like I said I sacrifice small children. It’s that ridiculous. Of course, we all have differing opinions on who should sit in the Oval Office, but if I hear one more person say it’s either their candidate or they’re not voting, I’m gonna scream like it’s 2016.

Too many of y’all seem okay with a repeat here. Let me clear if I haven’t been already.

I’m not.

The worst massacre in New Zealand’s history was perpetrated by a white supremacist who looked up to Trump for his white supremacist ideology. The president of the United States. Every day — and I mean every damn day — that man makes a mockery of humanity, of decency… of doing what’s right. And his people sit behind him like a bunch of silent observers who have somehow convinced themselves that his sins aren’t their own.

But remember: Silence is complicity.

If you refuse to speak up, you’re responsible for the consequences. We’re stuck with him now, but we don’t have to be after the 2020 election. So what are we going to do? His base won’t change, and we need to stop wasting our energy hoping they will. They will unite behind Trump no matter what.

We need to do the same with our own candidate.

So let’s talk about our candidates. You don’t like Kamala? Bernie? Beto? Great. But you damn well better vote in 2020 for whoever is the candidate. I don’t wanna hear any nonsense about you’re not voting because he or she is as bad or worse than Trump.

None of the potential candidates are worse than he is. Period.

We have the power remove Trump from office. We just need to get out of our own way for once and take a tip from Republicans.

Let’s throw our weight behind the Democratic candidate so we can try to heal at least some of the damage this Trump presidency has caused.
