Renewal Of Spirit
KTHT Challenge Prompt

In my very first challenge here at KTHT, I asked you to write on this prompt
When my spirit is free, I..
And you all gave such wonderful answers! But what if your spirit levels are in a slump? What if life has become so complicated, busy, or you just aren’t feeling spiritual at the moment?
Stress, worries, and even depression can lessen our abilities to be in the moment, centered and grounded, and to exercise our own spiritual practices. I know I encounter this often with worry, health issues and intermittent bouts of depression. I need reminders to get back to my morning meditation routines, to remain in the NOW in each moment of my life, and to connect with Spirit.
Guided meditations work well for me, as do affirmations. And sometimes, just getting out into nature, planting my feet upon soft grasses or digging my toes into freshly turned earth for planting can also get me back to a Spirit-filled place. Even taking a few moments during the day for a little self-love and self-care can recharge my spiritual batteries — a long soak in the tub, doing yoga, a day-trip to a spa or a home spa, reading an uplifting book, or listening to some music that touches my heart and soul.
Georgiana Petec just offered us a wonderful guided meditation to help us get centered into our hearts. If these kinds of mediations work for you, I encourage you to read and/or listen to her meditation:
So in honor of Georgiana’s meditation and our need to remain Spirit-Focused, I challenge you to dig deep into your toolbox and take us on a journey into your own renewal of spirit.
THE PROMPT
What practices or techniques do you use to renew your spirit when the stresses and worries of life interfere?
Remember to stay focused on the following core KTHT topics as you write and tag your work appropriately:
✅Spirituality ✅ Philosophy ✅ Metaphysics ✅Life Lessons (experiences that triggered personal growth) ✅Self-Awareness ✅Self-Care ✅Self-Love ✅ Conscious relationships
THE BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS
- Use the prompt to write a poem or personal essay.
- *(Tag) Mention at least (3) three of your favorite writers (here at KTHT or elsewhere on Medium) and ask them to participate. Each of those writers will then mention at least (3) three more, and so on.
- You may submit your story to KTHT or to any publication that allows prompts from other publications.
- Regardless of where you submit your piece, You MUST include a link back to this page and (Tag) mention one or all of the KTHT editors — Diana C., Spyder, jules or me, Ravyne Hawke.
- List the prompt and these rules at the end of your poem or essay so that those you’ve (tagged) mentioned will know the rules.
Remember, there are no rules here at KTHT. There is no right or wrong way to write. Let your imagination take you where it wants to go.
FYI — If you do not know how to (Tag) mention someone, please use this tutorial from Medium Help:
To mention another Medium user in a post, type the @ symbol and then the name or username of the person you want to mention. Click their name from the drop-menu and it will add their name in green text. It will notify any mentioned users in-product and by email (if applicable) when the post is published.
