‘Reminders of Him’ — My Favorite Summer Read
TikTok made me read it

This summer, I’ve jumped on the trend of reading #BookTok — recommendations on TikTok. I have genuinely enjoyed the books! I wouldn’t have found them if it wasn’t for #booktok (hence the subtitle ‘TikTok made me read it’).
My favorite so far:
Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
Goodreads rating: 4.53 (!) My rating: 5 stars — A Must Read
Genre: Romance
‘Reminders of Him’ is fantastically written, has wonderful characters, and a gripping plot that led to a lot of crying (on my part).
Kenna Rowans has just been released from prison. She served five years for causing a tragic accident. She had a daughter in prison, and now she would like to be reunited with her. But the girl’s grandparents, who have custody, hate Kenna. They believe she is to blame for their son’s brutal and tragic death. The only almost-friend she has is local and handsome bar owner Ledger Ward. To make it more complicated, he is entangled in Kenna’s past.
“A good person who had one bad night. It happens to the best of us. The worst of us. All of us. Some of us are just luckier than others, and our bad moments have fewer casualties.” — Colleen Hoover
I devoured the book in one day. It is so catchy. It was no problem to get involved with the main characters. I felt so bad for Kenna, and Ledger was just the man of my dreams. This book is lovely to read, and #booktok is absolutely correct in recommending it.
I have a new favorite author. I will definitely buy more books written by Colleen Hoover!
Truth be told, the top spot in ‘My Favorite Summer Read’ is shared with ‘The Love Hypothesis.’ I have written about it this story: The Most Delightful Book! Read ‘The Love Hypothesis’ if you enjoy a charming love story.

If you want to have some delightful reading moments and are a fan of romantic novels, read ‘Reminders of him’ and ‘The Love Hypothesis’.
In this book review, I have tried to follow Jean Maxwell’s recipe in the excellent story How to Write a Book Review That Doesn’t Suck and Can Actually Help the Author.
