Reminder Of What’s Within

I invite you to look inside

A beggar was sitting on the side of the road. A traveler was passing by the beggar on the road.

The beggar asked the traveler, “Do you have any spare change?” He pointed to an old baseball cap turned upside down which contained some spare change he collected.

The traveler replied, “No, I have no spare money. What is it that you are sitting on?” He asked the beggar.

“Just an old box. I have been sitting on it as far as I remember,” the beggar replied.

The traveler asked,” Ever cared to look inside❓”

The beggar replied,” No, never. There is nothing inside it anyway.” 😑

The traveler insisted the beggar take a look inside the box. Reluctantly the beggar stood up, lifted the box in his hand, and opened it.

To his surprise, disbelief, and elevation , the box was full of gold.

What the beggar was chasing his whole life, some money to survive, he was unaware that he had it all this while with himself.

He just never cared to look within the box.

I am sharing this story with you all because it reminds me of the treasures within oneself.

When I say within myself, I do not mean there is a box, a parable here that man needs to open.

The man needs to look even closer within himself. Those who do not look inside themselves, the gleaming joy of being, deep, unshakable peace that no true wealth can replace are beggars.

All this while the man was looking outside for morsel of pleasure, peace, fulfillment, validation, security, stability, love, or joy. They have it all within.

All a man needs to do is look within and ask himself, “What is my true nature?”

The nature of man’s life is unpredictable. It is uncertain. The true essence of the nature of a man is his life state. The life condition of a man outside resonates with what is inside.

What treasures are you sitting on?

What’s it going to take to open it for yourself?

I invite you to 👀 inside.
