Of Love and Support — A Poem

Perusing to perchance Find along the way A meaningful and respectful Remembrance of that day

When despite the clouds of trouble Blowing into my life You stood steadfast and resolutely Forever at my side

For better or for worse For sickness and in health Words spoken easily In love and rude health

But time itself tells a tale When many years from then to now Time bends us to its will But still, you stand strong and never cowed

When I have often bent To infirmary’s of wealth and health You have been there all along With a kind word and helping hand

You have been the guiding light The love, the strength, The reason for living, Helping to make a better life

If ever a man had the luck to live With an angel at his side I am he so blessed by the love And I forever wonder At the remembrance of that day…. …. You said yes to be my wife
