In Case You Missed It
Relationships Are Complicated
Sharing Fiction about Caring — with the eagerness of a puppy, he headed for their bedroom
“I’m bored,” Greg sighed, looking up from his iPad.
There was only so much he could take of Facebook friends sharing pictures of food and funny quotes. Gardening leave weighed heavily on him.
His wife looked up distractedly from her laptop at the kitchen table, which doubled as her home office. Greg was supposed to be quiet. When he made himself drinks and snacks, he sometimes forgot and chatted.
“Why not go upstairs for a lie-down?”
Innocent words, but her arched brow told him she meant self-pleasure. With the eagerness of a puppy, he headed for their bedroom.
“Usual password?” he called, unbuttoning his flies as, with indecent haste, he logged onto the couples’ porn site where his wife had an account.
This was more like it! Greg’s eye was caught by several short films but chose one with an actress who looked like his wife when they first met.
While on-screen, the woman touched herself with exploratory fingers, he grasped his swelling flesh with equal eagerness. The lube was in easy reach on the bedside cabinet, so Greg drizzled some and massaged himself with slick strokes.
By the time the actress was using a toy and panting, Greg’s fist was a blur, eliciting a pleasurable ache. It would’ve been great if his wife could’ve joined him, it was always more exciting, but there was a lot to be said for setting his own pace and feeling no performance anxiety.
When Greg reappeared downstairs, his wife asked if he had fun. He nodded.
“You found a good film?”
Greg couldn’t remember the title, but he described the scene and his wife’s eyes sparkled.
“That IS a good one.”
“You’ve watched it?”
“And played along,” she smiled.
Greg hugged his gorgeous sexy wife. They still desired each other, but fulfilling their bodies’ needs didn’t always happen in sync. He got a thrill imagining his wife touching herself, and one day he hoped she’d let him watch.
Relationships are all around us, altering and growing with time. In your youth you might have lots of friends and throw yourself into a variety of sexual liaisons. Getting older, many folk choose longer term relationships, make a commitment, have children. Often the amount of friends you have dwindles, perhaps family bonds are stronger. You generally gravitate towards people who accept you, warts and all.
My good friends Marie A. Rebelle and May More nurture our ‘virtual’ relationship with slack chat, zoom and talking on the phone. We write these bi-weekly posts to share some of our less viewed posts which feature human connection and we want to encourage others to do the same.

May compiled the first ‘share’ — on the topic of erotic fiction, which proved popular. But we have many more strings to our bows! Marie’s post came two weeks later and focused on life, giving us a chance to share some non-fiction posts. Here’s my lists of fictional relationship posts you may have missed:
