Relation Ships

careening with you

Ships

relationships

are vessels bearing spiritual cargo

fragile imperfect perishable

we float in shallow seas

shifting sentiments with our intimates.

relationships

some forced most chosen all fated

for one end or another.

Relation ships

careening here and there

what is our bearing? what are we bearing?

stormy seas and hurtful words

loose lips sink ships

mists in the midst of life’s darkest nights

our relation ships pass like old souls

what are we fighting for?

we are mute shipmates

our true messages bottled up

tossed overboard floating beneath us

we ebb and flow we ebb and flow we ebb and flow.
