PRO-LIFE
Reflections from the Unborn
Their voices speak out today
“You fought for me to be born because you valued the sanctity of my life when I was in my mother’s womb.” -The Unborn
You stood in the cold and wet rain, snow, and sleet with signs and banners that declared that I was a human being who had the right to live. You protested in the intense, sweltering, and oppressive heat to protect my life.
You blocked the entrances of medical facilities to prevent pregnant women who sought abortions from entering and you placed your body in the path of cars to block the entrances of clinics to turn them away. You publicly shamed and ridiculed pregnant women and their partners who entered these places by calling them heinous names like
“murderer and baby killer.” -Pro-Life Voices
You were aware of the criminals who bombed medical practices where pregnancies were terminated and brutally assassinated doctors and nurses because you wanted me to live. You endorsed these acts through your silence.
You filled churches and prayed to the Lord to give me a chance to live. You established that as your ultimate mission and your life’s work. You diligently spread your message to others so that I would be born. You declared your love for me before I was born.
You did all of these things because you are pro-life.
My Birth, My Life
“I was born. When I entered this world, you abruptly abandoned your belief in the sanctity of my life. You abandoned me. You no longer loved me.” -An Infant
You did not provide a permanent home and a forever family for me when I was orphaned at birth.
You passionately endorse and celebrate a political system that tries to block me from accessing adequate health care. You deliberately remain silent when I receive an unequal and inequitable education compared to the high-quality education that your children and your grandchildren receive.
You have totally forgotten about me when you go to church and when you pray because you no longer care about me. You allow me to live in substandard housing and you do not give me food when I am hungry. You turn your back to me because the life that you fought so hard to bring into this world and life is totally invisible to you now.
You ignore the suffering of my humanity as it is rooted in hatred, injustice, and bigotry. You become blind when I am victimized by police brutality. You stand by and nonchalantly watch others steal my soul, my breath, and my life because
“my Black life, my Brown life, my White life, my Yellow life, my poor life, my disabled life, my immigrant life, my Indigenous life, my young life, my old life, my LGBTQ life, my drug-addicted life, my alcoholic life…MY LIFE…does not matter to you.” -Diverse Human Voices
You consider my life to be worthless. You unapologetically oppress me and keep me bound by the shackles of discrimination. You blatantly strip me of hope and cause me to be imprisoned in the depths of despair.
You refuse to regard me as your brother or your sister united in our humanity. You aggressively exercise your power so that you reign as victor over me.
You fail to advocate for me. You blame me for my plight in life instead.
“You created this life for me from the moment I was born.” -Humans Living in Despair
The Conclusion: Who You Really Are
You are not pro-life.
Here’s my golden ticket that helps me accomplish my mission.
