Reflections and Echoes
A Poem of Darkened Light

circling the fire ring in deep forest twilight on a long midsummer’s eve
toe-to-heel we all walk faster figures circling mossy stones darkened light voices chanting
drink from the cup of reflections and echoes starlight, storm light, black moon shadows scent of pine, taste of rain
night ends, sky pales we turn to the dawn and raise our eyes to the light of unknown suns
