Strange artefacts emerge when vegetation’s low.

When Spring is in sight, we venture into areas of the garden that have been neglected over winter. The vegetation’s low and objects emerge. It’s a time of year for rediscovering those things that inexplicably vanished on hot summer days — small garden implements, someone’s favourite coffee cup, even a wheelbarrow once.

But no one can account for the mirror. Nobody lost one that we’re aware of, we don’t recognise it, don’t recall putting it there, and it didn’t just fall from the sky. A mystery for future gardeners to solve.
