Redempathy

New word for a new life

I spent my life seeing through your glasses, cradling your problems, giving warmth to you while I was cold, drowning in empathy while holding you afloat.

With age comes vision, my empathy replaced with redempathy.

I cradle myself warmly. I swim like a dolphin. I see clearly.

I redeem empathy for myself.
