My pride and joy publication — Red Curtain Erotica

I am an editor here, but before I joined ILLUMINATION when Dr Mehmet Yildiz created this publication, I had experimented with a couple of my own publications. Dr. Yildiz has asked us to share our various publications with everyone at ILLUMINATION.

Red Curtain Erotica

You can see my other publications on my profile, but the one I created that brings me a lot of joy is Red Curtain Erotica.

I am also proud of the first publication I started, Fortune Favors The Bold.

It taught me how to set up and do all of the technical things necessary to run a publication. FFTB was also where I first learned how to work with another editor, Blair Fawcett, who writes great articles for FFTB.

When I started FFTB, I saw it as my own little version of The Ascent. I wonder what Reuben Salsa, of The Bad Influence where I’m also an editor, thinks about that. I should rekindle my mini-ascent publication to see how it grows since success for writers helps all writers and publications.

My pride and joy is Red Curtain Erotica though. It is my publication I’m most passionate about.

I love all of my publications equally, though.

I started RCE as a writing experiment.

I was curious to write erotica, but wasn’t sure if I was skilled enough to submit to MyErotica, so I wanted to get some writing practice. Rose MyErotica is really cool, so maybe one of these days I’ll submit over at her publication because I always enjoy reading all the writers there. If you love erotica, that’s a powerhouse publication on this platform.

I’m still new at writing erotica, so I learn from reading other’s work. It is an enjoyable genre, so I’m glad I have a passion for it.

I’m always open to new writers, if you’re interested in writing erotica.

Erotica is one of those writing genres where you might not get a lot of claps, but can get a lot of reads. I think everyone enjoys erotica of some sort, whether it is romance or more detailed in nature.

I write first person stories from my mind based on experiences I have had or have imagined. I went to high school and then to university in a liberal and LGBTQ friendly college town, so there were more opportunities to explore my sexuality. I love just writing as if I’m telling my story as I imagine it.

Sensuality is all around us

There are fun and sexual people out in the countryside as well as the city — that is where the nudist camps are located. I have discovered swingers meet at a private room at a pizza parlor and the BDSM folks at a Mexican restaurant in my area.

Transgender adult entertainment stars had a weekly cabaret for fans and anyone interested in the big city before quarantine changed life. They have restarted their shows with mask and social distancing requirements in the big city. I know our local drag show is operating with health measures in place as well.

Sensual people are surrounding you and you might not even know it!

I have fun writing erotica.

It never feels difficult and I always have subject matter that can be written about. I focus on transgender stories — which are basically like any other sensual stories.

Other writers have their niches they enjoy writing about. We’ve been getting a lot of poetry submissions. Erotic poetry is really popular and has lead to the publication growing. I also have writers serializing their hot stories. I welcome everyone to visit and enjoy some pleasurable reading.

You are invited to write for RCE

If you want to write for RCE, feel free to ask me and I’ll add you as a writer so you can have fun writing an enjoyable and popular genre. My submission rules are easy: Keep your stories legal, consensual, and use proper grammar.
