Recurring Dream
I was a bird

I had a recurring dream
I dreamed that I jumped like the children
Of yesteryear
And with each jump I distanced myself
From the ground
But I came back, landing smoothly like a spaceship
I resumed the jump
And finally I remained at the top
Among frantic birds and drones
Doing feats on acrobatic flights.
I woke up and I was amazed:
I was a bird
I was just a bird that dreamed
To be human to meditate among the lilies
Of the field
And write poems like poets do.
