Recover As Quickly As You Can When Your Feathers Get Ruffled
November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”
Hurry, get that feather tucked in.
Of course, we all know how it feels to have our feathers ruffled.
Some people seem to get under our skin and ruffle our feathers no matter what they do. We should remember it doesn’t really matter that our feathers have been ruffled; our reaction and recovery is the most important part.
We could learn something from this hawk as he smoothed his ruffled feathers. He maintained his poise with his chest protruding, and the focus of his watchful eyes didn’t waver. He got the job done quickly. He was smoothed out and ready for his next move in no time.
When I see a meaningful lesson manifested in nature, it brings a smile of awe and gratitude to my face.
Thanks for reading! I hope everyone takes note of the many lessons nature has for us and lets a smile spread across their face.
Thanks to Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, for the “Collecting Smiles” prompt. Thanks to Mary Chang Story Writer and co-editors Sandi Parsons and Ellie Jacobson , at Six Word Photo Story Challenge publication.
