Reciprocality
Fostering a supportive community

I posted the following story last week:
Not so much to complain, but just as an observation. However, the story generated some views, reads, and responses. It appears many writers have had a similar experience.
I also received encouragement and support from other writers on the article. In particular, Sahil Patel shared some kind words of encouragement. And he developed the idea to create a supportive community via this publication, Reciprocal. I haven’t had the best experience with publications, however, I appreciate his vision and purpose for this endeavor and will join in.
Here are a few writers I have had a connection with:
Billy Jones was the first person to follow me, before I was even active with my writing. Like me, he has expressed some dismay with publications, however, he is the first one I want to include here. His action encouraged me to go ahead and start writing on here. He is an active and entertaining writer on Medium and author of the book CARROT ON A STICK. I have seen comments from several others that he was their first follower as well. This is very supportive of the Medium community and greatly appreciated.
Pauline Evanosky is one of those writers who said Billy was her first follower. She has supported several of my stories and writes interesting and helpful content that is worth reading and following.
DL Jenings is another supportive writer, and a creator of poetry, who has kindly taken the time to read and interact with several of my stories. Much appreciated!
Thanks Sahil for your idea and effort to create this publication. I hope it proves to be beneficial and promotes a supportive community.
