Strip clubs dot the landscape from Maine to Southern California and Seattle to Miami. Hmm, that visual creates a large X across the United States, doesn’t it?
The number of strip clubs nationally has declined 1/2 % per year for the last five years according to IBIS World. But the number of clubs is remaining quite healthy in a few states: New York, California and Illinois.
Academic and clinical reasons aside, why does a man visit strip clubs?
I’m sure you can’t completely understand the reason — which is why you need my guidance in deciphering the answer.
Let’s examine this most male of behaviors.
Reasons Men Visit Strip Clubs
He wants to get his oil checked but misunderstood the meaning of a lube job (or maybe understands it in his own way).
He’s on the lam from the IRS and wants a hide-away.
He wants to see his wife at work, up close, and personable.
His wife asked him to get fresh buns on the way home from the office.
He has a legitimate interest in construction and wants to see what one pole can handle.
Beer was on sale.
He needed crumbs wiped off his lap after lunch.
He’s sapiosexual and wanted in-depth conversation.
He’s lonely. He wants attention.
He likes soft lighting.
He likes seeing scantily clad women in soft lighting.
He likes seeing scantily clad women:
- in soft lighting,
- while drinking cheap beer,
- and listening to loud music.
He got bored with golf, for once.
His bowling team wanted a diversion after a humiliating defeat.
He failed anatomy in college and was determined to get it right for once. He just had to study from a different perspective.
His eyes were starving after living alone in a remote observatory for three months. He wanted to stare at different heavenly bodies.
His wife brought him because she’s turned on, by him being turned on, by watching her — watch other hers.
He wanted to get ideas for buying lingerie for his wife to surprise her on Valentine’s Day. Even though he buys the same lingerie every year. And even though it was only July and Valentine’s Day was still … hmm, August, September … like seven months away.
He had to run errands, but the car just seemed to steer itself ….
He’s committed to watching less porn online.
He’s been watching more porn online.
He just happened to have an extra $200 in his pocket and needed a place to get rid of it in less than 15 minutes.
He and his friends just robbed a bank, took more than $ 10,000 in cash, but were being chased by the cops and needed to get rid of it within an hour or two.
Coincidences. Sometimes tires go flat, or engines give out just down the block. And you need a safe space to call Triple A.
His wife told him he should get out more often and meet interesting people.
