Reasons I write poetry
The list is ever-growing, but here are a few honest reasons why I write
-Life is a mess: poetry is the only order I have.
-It feels like simple words are lies, only in art it is possible to tell the truth.
-There are things I think I want to say before I die.
-I’m afraid I won’t remember this day unless I write about it.
-I feel alone in my brain: poetry is like opening a window so others can have a look.
-It’s healthier than doing drugs or running away.
-I need a mirror — I change so fast, without written proof I don’t know who I am anymore.
-There is something about the sea: when I see it, I simply must write about it.
-I might not have no space in life, but I have space on the paper.
-Poetry is alchemy: when I write, it has an effect on reality. There is a before-poem and after-poem state of every issue: the after-poem (A.P.) state is never, ever the same as the before-poem (B.P.) state.
-Time is passing by, only these lines are constant.
That’s it for now. If you feel like it, please leave your reasons in the comment. I think this is something we all like to read.
