Really Looking Forward to 2022!
I hope next year is a good year for everyone

There are only ten days left of 2021 so it’s not too early to start thinking about the new year.
On a more positive note than of late — sometimes physical limitations and chronic pain affect the ability to see all the good things around you...
Today is a better day, normal service is resumed. I feel like making some early new year’s resolutions. In no particular order:
- Shop less, use what I’ve got. Shop my closet instead of buying new clothes.
- Try and be more forgiving. I don’t suffer fools gladly, and I know that sometimes I’m too quick to judge. I need to work on that.
- Continue to write on a daily basis, submit to publications and learn to cope with losing control.
- Start spending more time on my screenplay. I’m working on a script based on an as yet unpublished book that a friend of mine has written.
- Lose four kilos. I feel much better when I’m a bit slimmer than I am now.
- Keep in touch with friends more.
- Try to find more hours in the day :)
- Continue to work hard at daily physio and swimming so I can be the best version of myself.
- Travel to see my children and my grandchildren, circumstances permitting.
- Decide what we’re going to do about the outstanding renovations on the house, and complete the landscaping design.

Our garden is starting to take shape after being totally annihilated by the building work we had done. Our Lilly Pilly hedge is ‘Australe Resilience’ which will grow to about four metres, just perfect for privacy.
In front of the Lilly Pilly we planted Murraya Paniculata, commonly known as ‘Mock Orange’ which has incredibly fragrant small white flowers. They flower from June to March and fill the air with their intoxicating fragrance.
It will be really lovely when it’s finished, I’m looking forward to sitting out there in 2022.
