Alerted by His Wife’s W-2 Form
Something suspicious about the figures on their joint tax return alerted Chad to his wife’s infidelity
Chad was reviewing their completed joint income tax return from their accountant when he noticed some figures that didn’t make sense.
The problem was that the salary on his wife, Angela’s attached W-2 Form was considerably lower than he expected it to be.
Although Chad had never really concerned himself with exactly how much money Angela made, he naturally assumed she earned a lot more money than what was shown on her W-2 form.
This assumption was based on the fact that Angela was always buying expensive jewelry and designer clothes.
In addition to getting weekly massages, she often enjoyed a full day of pampering every few weeks at her favorite day spa.
She also went on weekend trips with her girlfriends and took week-long vacations with them at least 2 or 3 times each year.
Chad never questioned Angela about her spending habits, since she paid for these luxuries herself from the salary she made — or so he thought.
But there was no way Angela could afford even half of these things with the salary shown on her W-2 Form.
Something didn’t add up.
The Mystery Is Finally Solved
Where was Angela getting the money to pay for all the jewelry, designer clothes, vacations, and other things she was treating herself to?
After doing some discreet checking, Chad found his wife was having an affair.
Angela’s wealthy lover was footing the bill for her lavish lifestyle and buying her expensive gifts.
Furthermore, some of Angela’s weekend trips and vacations “allegedly with her girlfriends” turned out to actually be trips she took with him.
If Chad hadn’t taken the time to review their joint income tax return and look into the financial discrepancy, he might never have discovered Angela’s infidelity.
