SCBWI Writing Prompt: Slice
Reading Writing Photography and Public Speaking
A tanka, my first, about four passions of my life.

Walking every day With a camera in hand, Writing some stories And speaking at Toastmasters These are slices of my life.
Life offers and affords many opportunities. How we use them is up to us.
Reading, writing, photography, and public speaking have been passions of mine for more than half a century.
I delivered my first speech when I was twelve and wrote my first story at fifteen. I started taking pictures at seventeen.
Reading is what I have been doing since I learned to read at five or six years of age. I got the love of reading from my dad, and I have passed it on to my children. Both of them are avid readers.
My daughter also likes to write and take pictures, and my son loves to debate.
It’s all in the genes, I guess.

Thank you. Amy Marley, for introducing me to the SCBWI daily prompts. Today’s prompt: Slice
As always, thank you for reading and responding.
