Reading Books Saved My Life and Elevated My Love for Black People
We as Black people need to put down the remote more and start picking up these books.

So I came across an old pic I took about 4 years ago, and I thought “Man, I’m really a nerd, outchea.” 😂
Serious note, the Black community must not enter 2022 with the mindset to remain ignorant. One of the reasons why, collectively, we have so many problems is due to low self-esteem issues. We have low self-esteem issues because we have a lack of knowledge of self. We lack the knowledge of self because we were indoctrinated into a system in which we were not only deprived the TRUE origins and accomplishments of our people, but were taught things that led to miseducation. White supremacy is a b*tch, we know this. These folks don’t want you be educated, because they know that if enough of us are, we would become unstoppable. So I blame them, but I also blame us. We live in the age of information. You have a wide variety of resources from the library to the internet that allows you to dig up research in pretty much any topic that comes to mind — including your history!
Why aren’t there more of us taking advantage of this? It’s because a lot of us a flat out lazy.
“The best place to hide something from a negro is in a book.” If this quote relates to you, you should be ashamed and embarrassed.
At some point you have to ask yourself, “How long am I going to keep saying ‘I don’t know?’” Because it’s one thing to be ignorant, but it’s another thing to remain ignorant.
One thing I like about the following I have is that people aren’t following me because I’m a handsome Black man (and I’m very handsome💪🏽😎), or because I make music, or do funny videos.
People follow me because they respect my knowledge and wisdom. That means a lot to me.
And I don’t know everything, never will. But that’s great, because I love learning and I will continue to do so.
So I encourage everyone to please, let’s cut out a lot of the ignorance in our community.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
