Tip Of The Day — Day 19– The importance of interaction
This is part of a series of daily tips for writers published to share ideas and suggestions on our craft. Everyone will have different advice on writing, so the tip below is just a personal selection which I hope you will find useful. Do share any of your own in the comments.
This tip is about remembering to read, clap, highlight and comment on articles by other writers on Medium, to share advice, support and encourage others, and build a friendly community.
Below are some words from the motivational speaker Zig Ziglar that relate well to this need for interaction:
“Life is an echo. What you send out comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give, you get. What you see in others, exists in you.”
It is important to remember that Medium is not just a place to publish our work but a community of writers.
Success on the platform depends on all working together, and this article explains this philosophy well:
The new earnings formula takes the amount of interaction with an article into account, so reading and interacting with the work of other writers is not just helpful to you, but also to you if they reciprocate.
So make it a daily habit. Read, Clap, Highlight, Comment, Repeat
I hope you found this article useful, and do share any tips of your own in the comments.
