Reaching The Stars

A poem

I’ve been feeling empty and irritated; Confused and frustrated

Been feelin’ directionless and lazy; My emotions have been heavy lately

It is like a battle; to handle myself is not as easy to shake a rattle

Wanting to get out of bed; having so many words left unsaid

My head is shallow; As if wants to rest forever on a pillow

I am determined to go up high; but I know, right now I’m nowhere nearby

What is life? please redefine; let me redesign my world, I want to re-align

Darkness is everywhere; closed are the curtains, no wonder why my life is so uncertain

I pull myself up, not wanting to be harsh; but I want to touch the sky, be among the stars

I must calm myself and let me know; to move forward and let the past go

Let the shadow disappear; and to see clean atmosphere

I want to be fine and let the sun shine; and not be among the nine, O’lord give me a sign

Following the rainbow, shadows disappears; I want to see the colors, let no darkness near

I will climb the mountain and face every burden; till I reach my goal, I shall keep workin’

I want to reach the light, to touch the stars; they seem so close, yet so far

I only wish to shine bright, like the stars spreading light; I wish I might, I wish I might
