Reaching For Greatness
Amazing authors and their plans for 2023.

A new year often brings about reflection. Reflection of where you’ve been, the goals one had previously set, whether they were valiantly accomplished, and the objectives for the future.
Some of us have made the decision to broaden our horizons and start licking flag poles of other publishing platforms, some have made plans to follow in 2023. Here are some amazing authors who I am bless to call friends — check them out.
Disclaimer: Once you begin reading any of these stories, you won’t be able to stop!
Bradan Writes Stories has had growing success with this Fantasy/Supernatural episodic series that updates each Monday. He writes, “For those unfamiliar with the series, Jessica has endured a series of tribulations in addition to being told she only has months to live. When she meets the devil himself in a nightclub, she strikes up a deal she quickly regrets. Now if she wants to live past the next 24 hours — she, with the help of her friends, has to try to outsmart Lucifer.”
Bradan will also be working on Angel in Devil’s Clothes (launching Friday) and reveals the ‘true devils’ of the world and one man’s fight for his freedom as we follow the story of Havel, along with a few other projects to watch for.
Selina Miyasia has Dragons of Light on Medium and Tapas. Selina writes, “Being happy and loved was all that Naylin had ever wanted. However, the Coming of Age Tradition in her village of Tarrowanne was putting a stop to that. Her childhood friend wanted to claim her during this ceremony, but if he did, Naylin knew what kind of life she would have, and it would not be a happy one. The only other prospect was someone she hadn’t seen for years, but would he come?”
She also wants to do more artwork/designs on her website and has some cute clothing designs. She also made blank lined journals and have almost 30 designs. In 2023, I would like to add more designs.
Jonathon Sawyer would like to finish writing the Hero of Pendown CYOA and rewrite it for a linear story on Tapas and would really like to find an outlet for his dystopian cyberpunk thriller Download.
Jay C Wells has a new series publishing on Tapas. About the story below — he writes, “What do a drunken man without socks, monsters in human disguise, and secret government agencies have in common? They all are up to their necks in trouble — the apocalyptic kind. When the little ones don’t want to sleep, it is time for a bedtime story. Not any story, though. It’s time for A Hell of a Bedtime.”
He is also working on his NaNoWriMo project — Stormborn and Dice of Fate — A Children’s LitRPG book.
Samuel Kenneth Kauffman plans to publish on Tapas as soon as he has the a backlog and description for the story. He also plans to work on a game with a friend and continue to work on Medium articles while doing both of the above as well.
JF Danskin plans to finish his book Sparta Online, book 3. It’s the 3rd of a trilogy. He also wants to finish off a few more of the CYOA stories and has a murder mystery CYOA in the works.
He too has been pulled to the dark side of Tapas with a new novel. About Burn the Witch, he writes, “When Alice’s car is just about to crash, she finds herself saved… by being transported to another world. The only problem is that she’s now a witch. And the locals want to burn her at the stake! Can Alice survive, find new friends and allies in a mysterious fantasy world, and learn to use the magic that she can now access? Will she figure out what happened to isekai her into this world? And, perhaps, can she get back safely to her real life?”
Kathy K will be publishing to multiple places, along with The Quarkle Chronicles on Substack and Patreon - this platform will focus on The Realm Of Quarkopolis and The Quarkle Chronicles.
About Rattlesnake Island, she writes, “Join Olana as she obsesses about a plot against her co-workers. Is she on her own or is there another more sinister force behind her plot? Find out how T.R.I.O. is involved in this seemingly benign plan in this sci-fi psychological thriller.”
Sieran Lane has been working on a serial novel, Anastasia the Nonbinary Dragon, on Prism & Pen on Medium.
Sieran is also working on The Pomeranian and the Hellhound — a gay dystopian romance series, and wants to continue Sword in the Wind series — a Chinese martial arts novel.
Sweet Chaos has a relatively new novel born from participating in a challenge. Updating Fridays: the novel - Gone Rogue - has teaser episodes posted on Medium with the full story on Substack and Tapas. She writes, “Young children are kidnapped and trained to be secret military weapons. What will happen to the military if they escape? Follow young Xoey to find out!”
She also is publishing a novel of short stories on Substack and Tapas called The Infinity Library. There is now The AI Infinity Library on Substack, as well. In addition to this, she has begun a collaborative story titled It’s All Fun and Games Until… with the first story to branch off from this here.
Zane Dickens the Instigator has recently issued another challenge — not for the faint of heart — the 10*10 Challenge.
You can also find Zane on Tapas with The Voice in the Darkness and Substack with The Reader Experience.
Cathylouise has aspirations to publish a chapter of The Demon University on Tapas every week. She writes, “Have you ever wondered how young demons learn how to form contracts and eat souls? How do they learn about the human world so they can blend in so easily? Some of the elder demons were willing to share their stories and give us a peak into their world. Learn alongside the younglings as they discover more about what it means to be a demon in the modern human world.”
She also plans to turn Murder Hobos R Us into a serial novel on Tapas, complete Crisis, kick Lorelei_Sands up the arse and get that side of her brain working again to finish the 100 Story Challenge — the work under this name is all NSFW and definitely 18+. (Yup, her words. LOL) Finish Scourge of the Demon Hunters (another Lorelei project) and get it to Beta readers.
Jacinta Palmer has been working on the series Victims (below) and Courtly Love — a fairy tale adventure
Shanice Lawton has her first story of the year.
You can also find her on Substack at Scripturam.
