Rationalize With Me — Do I Deserve Another Pair Of Shoes?
a poem and a writing challenge and feedback requested lol

On this fateful day of one singular degrees (celsius), I wonder if I need more shoes.
I have my summer flats, and my heavy-duty winter boots; I have my running shoes and my rainboots.
Would it be too cold to try and brave the ambient cool in my flats — will I lose toes?
Would it be too informal to wear running shoes to work, paired with work shirt and work pants, will I lose face?
Would it be too much to already break out the heavy duty boots, complete with tread to prevent slips — will I wear down the tread like trying to get snow tires too early?
Would it be odd to wear my rainboots on a day that may be somewhat cloudy somewhat sunny, with low percentage of precipitation?
Surprisingly, this dilemma does not come from procrastination, but rather conscious consumption. Can I live without a pair of boots specific to the autumn season, especially since autumn where I live is all of 2 weeks?
I admit my heart is stolen by autumn Pinterest mood boards with a nice heeled boot, beige and minimalist.
