Random 3 AM Thoughts

You know those moments when you stop breathing? Well, not technically, but you stop breathing and start sighing. The moments when the sole source of your existence becomes sighing.

Sigh in. Sigh out. A sigh of relief, and a sigh of grief.

You look around observing the world bustling with people chatting, laughing, and absorbed in their carefree lives.

In the midst of this commotion, you find yourself pondering: Am I the only one grappling with sorrow in this vast world? Or are others too suffering with their own pains and yet forcing smiles on their faces? And if yes, then why can’t I do the same?

Why is it that every time I try to smile, a gray curtain descends, blocking the sight of the world from me, and all I see on it are the old and new wounds, still unhealed, still bleeding?

You roar inwardly: Where are the rays of hope that the whole world loves to talk about? I don’t see them, I can’t see them! Do they even exist? Or are they merely a global lie, woven by an unknown force to preserve the illusion of smooth-running lives?

Exhausted by this internal battle, you again look around as the human-outside-robots-inside beings diligently push themselves through another day of their lives, secretly yearning for a better tomorrow.

You stand still for a few seconds that feel like an eternity, and then with a deep sigh, you silently become one of them!
