Ramadan 2024 is just around the corner, and I can already feel the excitement building up within me. It’s a special month of blessings, mercy, and countless rewards.

All the Muslims around the world, celebrate the month of Ramadan as a significant month. It is the month when the Holy Quran was revealed.

As Allah (SWT) says,

The month of Ramaḍān [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the crescent of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allāh intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allāh for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful” (2:184)

It’s not just about abstaining from food and drink from dawn till dusk; it’s a time for self-reflection, self-discipline, and drawing closer to our Creator – Allah (SWT) .

As the Quran says,

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous” (2:183).

In our daily busy lives, we often forget to pause and reflect on our daily actions and intentions.

Ramadan comes every year to remind us for self-improvement. It’s a time to strengthen our relationship with Allah (SWT) and to seek forgiveness for our shortcomings.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Ramadan is that it creats a sense of bonding with each others.

When we gather with our family and friends to break our fasts together, we’re reminded and can feel the beauty of unity and compassion.

It’s also a time to spread spirit of generosity and empathy towards all classes of people in the society.

This Ramadan, I’ve made a commitment to myself to share a reflection shortly every day ( I will try ), to document my journey through this blessed month.

I invite you, my dear readers, to join me on this journey. This invitation of sharing reflections is open for all of you, regardless of your religious beliefs.

Please share with me your thoughts and insights about your own self-improvement life stories.

You can tag me, if you want!

May Allah (SWT) shower us with abundant blessings throughout the sacred month of Ramadan.

Ramadan Mubarak! 🌙
