Raining Mindfulness

A poem in Free Verse

I love the sound of rain falling on the awnings: so peaceful and rare.

Peaceful because it makes you stop in your tracks; rare because you dare.

The birds are singing and happy. Iguana come out. Life seems to awaken and be clearer in view.

The air is fresher; a degree or two lower. It blows in from the ocean, and out to the gulf.

What a feeling to live on a peninsula!

It will blow stress away if you let it.

We’ve enjoyed rain since April and it has brought stress.

If you move to Florida you have to know where you will experience less stress from flooding when the rainy season mess hits.

Humidity is high not gonna lie, but let it rain it away each day.
