A Sunday-morning Haiku

The sound the rain makes Falling on the roof above The flowers blooming

I awoke this morning to the patter of rain upon the tiles. It continued while I made the coffee and sat down at my desk to start my day. As I began to pray, in the quiet of the day, I heard the rain upon the roof and then this haiku came to me, almost fully formed.

Happy reading, writing and connecting, dear friends!
