‘Let’s Go Musical at Paper Poetry’
Rain Drops
Sa Rey Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa

Detached from,
what is around me
Immersed in,
what surrounds me
that voice within
that music which I hear
that sound
fills the silence,
ripples the noise
like a stone thrown in water
churns it
and what I hear
coming out of it are
the seven notes of jal tarang*
Sa Rey Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa
like it is raining
in the Himalayas
and the rain drops are falling on me!**

*Listen to the notes of Jal Taranga Instrument

- * A manifestation of universal connectivity from a sentence in the famous classic book and the movie The Guide By R.K. Narayan, “It is raining in the hills, and the water is coming under my feet…”!
Too late to invite my fellow poets now, but I enjoyed reading their poems of this prompt.
