The time is close to find out the winners

The Presidential election and all the other elections for this election cycle in the United States will be over in just over one week. It has been a period of time which has been hateful and hurtful. There have been friendships lost and ruined because of opposing views about the candidates. Families have had to avoid political discussions due to the strong feelings for either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. It has been a trying time.

Trump has continued to bully people who have opposed him. He has called for people to be put in prison although there are many who feel that is where he belongs. He has attacked the children of his opponent even though his own children’s lives are not above reproach.

President Barack Obama has come out with attacks of his own as he campaigned for his friend and former Vice President, Joe Biden. During the eight years of working together in the Obama Administration, it is obvious that the two became very close friends.

After Biden announced that Kamala Harris would be his running mate, the racist comments started to come from various Republicans. Some of them are seemingly unable to resist the chance to make racist comments. They may insist they are being sarcastic or saying things in jest, but that does not excuse the fact that they are being racist.

Because Harris is of Black and Indian background and she has an unusual first name, she has been the target of racism. She has been ridiculed.

People have shown their true colors as they have been unable to hold their tongues and expressed what was in their minds.

Trump continues his bullying and name calling which has become his trademark during his time in office. Besides lying, he regularly bullies everyone who is against him in any manner. He makes racist and derogatory comments without remorse or apology.

Racism has been allowed to be such a big part of life that it is hard for people who have those tendencies to refrain from racist comments. Even if they proclaim that they are not racist, sometimes the words out of their mouth are actually racist.

Racism is a problem in the United States of America. It is time to vote out the racists.
