Racism Does Exist Nikki Haley
You are very wrong for denying its existence in the United States
Introduction
I have refused to watch the televised 2020 Republican National Convention. For me, doing so would hint that I endorse the hypocrisy that is so pervasive within that political party today. By refusing to watch the convention, I separate myself as a political outlier with pride. I do not want to be associated with all of the untruths, misrepresentations, corruption, and deception that currently overshadows this political party.
However, as I listened to the morning news earlier today, I was appalled by a brief report about Nikki Halley, former South Carolina Governor. Even though I tried to quickly turn off the broadcast as information was recounted about convention, I was not fast enough. I heard the words that she spoke.
I actually heard her disgusting, disappointing, and disheartening words.
What Did She Say?
Nikki Halley was a speaker on the first night of the convention. According to the brief summary of the convention that I heard, this national and global political leader had the audacity to dispute the existence of racism in the United States. She said that racism does not exist in our country.
Her venomous words were delivered from the gates of hell.
Nikki Haley not only spewed her noxious rhetoric, she perpetuated the racism that has prevailed in this nation for centuries. She used her destructive words to exercise power over all the Black, Brown, and other people groups who have been oppressed and suppressed by racist people like herself by denying that racism permeates the threads of our society.
Regardless of her beginnings in life, Nikki has risen to become a privileged woman. Because of this advantage, a clear path has been created for her to be protected from and ignore all of the realities associated with the suffering of people who do not share her biological characteristics or economic credentials among other differences. This political leader has willfully chosen color blindness.
She refuses to acknowledge the all of the racial atrocities that have victimized and stolen the lives of men, women, children, and babies for century after century, decade after decade, year after year, and day after day.
The Truth Is Real
As a nation, our reality is very sad and discouraging.
Many gullible people who respect Nikki Haley and the political party that she represents have been easily persuaded by her false rhetoric. More profoundly, they continue to perpetuate the same racism that she advocates for.
Here is a challenge for Nikki Haley as well as the multitudes who dispute the existence of racism. Become familiar with the stories of the following Black individuals who lost their lives because of racism. Some of their names and circumstances are well known. Others are not. However, these innocent human beings represent an extremely small sample of the thousands of precious lives stolen from them through the years because of pure evil and hatred shrouded in racism.
Conclusion
A candle is shown to honor their memory those who died because of racism. The names of many of the recent victims follow.
