My first-night bivouac

For the twentieth day of my challenge at The Daily Cuppa, here we are back again in Oman, but this time in Qurayyat, a city in the governorate of Muscat.
After setting up our first bivouac here, I remember being surprised by the cold at night, especially in the pre-dawn hours for my photo shoot.
I remember the winter days there until 28°C. I can thus imagine in summer! But the night temperature drops to around 10°C.
What a surprise yet to read the temperature record set there in 2018:
“In Qurayyat, Oman, the thermometer didn’t fall below 41.9°C for 51 hours. This was unprecedented anywhere in the world” — written in Reporterre.
Perhaps more worrying than surprising…
